Some of my kid's friends were in a production of Jungle Book at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center. It was really good, they always do a great job there! Afterwards it's kind of a tradition to go to Bahama Bucks for shaved ice and hang out. It was fun just watching the kids with their cousins and friends and I enjoyed chatting with the other moms of course!

THANKSGIVING 2008
Thanksgiving was a wonderful day as usual! Lisa and I both made turkeys and then the meal was complete with rolls, mashed potatoes, fruit salad and of course pink fluff....yummy! We all ate until we were full and ready for a nap. Mark and Steve wasted no time reclining in the theater to watch football and the kids just had a great time playing. Anya joined our family for Thanksgiving and literally. As most of you know she will be going to live with my Mom and Vic at the end of January. We welcome her to our family and hope that we can live up to the kind of family that she needs. It was a great day and although the food was great, I think that family is the winner of this holiday!

Buds
Anya, is our friend who has been living with us for several weeks. This night, Miranda did her hair and make up because they were going to a friend's birthday party. They both were so excited and had a great time! We are looking for a permanent home for Anya, please let me know if any of you know anyone willing.

Happy Halloween
Halloween was a fun night, we spent it with the Hebb's, Grandma Morgan, and the Samuels. We ate potatoe soup, chili, corn bread, and hot dog mummies that Liz made...so cute! I will have to post a picture of them. Steve, and Tad worked at our friend's haunted house and had fun. Atleast Tad had fun. Steve was until a girl he scared kicked him in the....well you know and punched him in the face. He was creepy though!

He's Here!
REMEMBER HOMECOMING?
Remember Homecoming? Picking out the dress, the shoes, how to do your hair, feeling nervous? It all came back to me as I helped my daughter prepare for her first Homecoming dance. It is so fun and exciting and brought back a flood of great memories for me! For all of you who don't have teenagers....I just want you to know that it is really fun! I remember that when our children were little, many well meaning people "warned" us of the day that our children would become the "dreaded" teenagers. I love having teenagers in the house because it reminds me of what it felt like when I was that age.....it really wasn't that long ago, I promise!
The date: Jake took Miranda to a fun dinner with two other couples at his house. They took pictures, and played some games and went to the dance. The next morning they went on a "day date" with the same couples to the zoo. Miranda had a wonderful time because this very cute boy planned such a fun time! Thank you Jake.....you cutie patootie!

Max Hangin' with "Aunt Wenny"
Max was hanging out with me one morning in the R.V. I don't get to spend time alone with him very often because there are always so many children around him. Lisa and I always say that he is the youngest of 10 children, because my family adores him too! He colored and played silly putty. Whenever he comes in my motorhome, he always asks me, " Aunt Wenny is this your motorhome?" It was fun hanging out with my little Maxwell Connor! I love you Maxers!
Fun Weekend
I know that this is not in chronological order, but I am trying to catch up! Over Labor Day weekend we went to Prescott, for, yes, another softball tournament! I know that you are all just shocked! We went in the R.V. and the Hebb's came along with us and made it just that much more fun! We always love traveling with the Hebb's, but we don't get to do it often enough! We had a great time playing cards, watching movies and just " hanging out." It seems in this busy life of ours, there's not enough "hanging out " going on!
We were able to go to an art festival, and eat funnel cake and yummy homemade tamales! After we were done eating the kids just played tag on the grass! They almost plowed over a couple of babies, but everyone had a fun day!

Over the weekend Steve played in the NAFA Masters 40 and over fastpitch tournament in Carson City, NV. We have gone for the last 3 yrs and we usually stay in Tahoe and it sooo beautiful there! He plays on a team from Utah, and they have won this tournament for the past three years! We are proud of our Daddy and he does pretty well for an "old" guy! It was kind of funny last night and today, because he is really sore! He said that he officially declares 42 as the age when his body started falling apart! Good job Dad!
Well, Amber informed me at stamp club that everyone is sick of kideeokee and that I need to put something else on my blog....you are sooo right Amber!
This is kind of old news, but in July we added two new members to our family, Maggie and Bella. Maggie is the calico guinea pig and Bella is the other one. We had a guinea pig named cuddles that lived for 7 years! We lost her a couple of years ago and finally decided to get another one and came home with two! ( I shouldn't have taken the kids with me.)
We love our new little pets and they are growing fast! Maggie is jumpy and nervous, but Bella is really sweet and calm. The kids hold them all of the time and I'm glad that we got them. They are "pigs", I guess that's where they get the name! Every night they squeak and squeak until they get fed.....I didn't realize how much we missed that sound in our home! We love and miss you cuddles!

Eventhough we stayed at home this summer,
we were very busy! We had a very special experience of having a chinese foreign exchange student live with us for three weeks. His english name is James and he was one of the sweetest people our family has ever met. He just fit right in with our family and we grew to love him! His favorite things to do were playing basketball and hanging out with Beau. We were sooo sad to see him leave! Now we find ourselves cheering for the US and China while watching the olympics! I was hoping that we would have a nice experience, but it turned out even better than we even hoped for! If you ever have this opportunity to take in a person from another country and culture, the Morgan's hightly recommend it!

Things that have been going on!
As many of you know Dustin graduated! Yes, we are sooooo happy that he made it and I think Dustin's even happier than we are! He will work and go to school at Gilbert/Chandler Community College for one semester until and prepare to serve a full-time mission sometime in the spring. We are very proud of Dustin and look forward to what else is in store! He also just recieved his Eagle Scout Award....wahooo, Mom is very happy! By the way, Uncle Mark is looking very Dapper in the background of this picture!
I have been to visit many blogs and have decided to try it for our family. It seems like a great way to keep in contact with family and friends! I love seeing what everybody is up to and catching up! Hopefully, I can do the same for my family....there's always so much going on! I also decided that I kind of miss writing, so here it goes!
